Our Leicester office features in this week's Secret Millionaire programme on Channel 4. The millionaire (pictured above) was shocked and moved by the plight of those who are living destitute on the streets the UK, refused sanctuary but unable to return home. We're delighted that he made a generous donation to our new Fresh Start project.
Since the government cut asylum support for lone parents and single people in October, our clients have really struggled to make ends meet. New research by Refugee Action highlights the everyday hardship faced by people trying to survive on asylum support.
Ministers are due to make a decision about support levels for next year. Tell Immigration Minister Phil Woolas to reinstate asylum support to 70% of income support - £45 a week. Take action now!
Our powerful new film features our long-term destitute clients speaking about their experiences.
