Volunteering Greater Manchester

Horizons is a supported volunteer service for adult refugees and asylum-seekers who want to do voluntary work. More than 60 organisations from across Greater Manchester are signed up to the project.

Wellbeing Project

Based in Manchester, the Wellbeing Project empowers asylum seekers and refugees through arts and sports-based activities. This project brings together people from all walks of life to take part in team sports, arts-based activities and social events.

Gateway Protection Programme

A team of resettlement workers from Refugee Action is supporting refugees who are being offered protection as part of a United Nations international resettlement programme.

The men, women and children from Liberia and the Democratic Republic of Congo came in November 2004 to start a new life in Bolton after living in refugee camps for years.
