Escape to Safety

Ever wondered what it feels like to flee your country? Then pop down to Salford and immerse yourself in an interactive multi-media experience that puts you in the shoes of someone seeking sanctuary.

When and where

Monday 14 to Friday 18 June, 9.30am to 5.30pm
Swinton Precinct Shops, Unit 9-11

A refugee Action volunteer holding a leaflet up to the camera.

Refugee Action’s Salford Migrants Project is bringing Escape to Safety to Salford for Refugee Week.

An interactive multimedia installation that enables you to experience something of what it’s like to be a refugee seeking asylum in Britain, Escape to Safety is always hugely popular at the festivals and events we’ve taken it to. Even music star Michael Franti has been through it!

A great introduction to the issue for adults and young people from the age of 10 upwards, Escape to Safety is an emotional experience that combines real-life testimony with facts and figures.

Come down and try out the Escape to Safety labyrinth anytime during the week and experience first-hand the different stages a refugee goes through before seeking asylum in Britain.
