Human Library

The world-famous Human Library comes to Bolton! This pioneering initiative that loans real people for a chat instead of books, will give people the chance to talk to refugees and learn about their lives.

When and where

Tuesday 15 June, 2-4pm
Bolton Central Library, Le Mans Crescent, Bolton, BL1 1SE

For information on getting to the library, please visit
http://www.bolton.gov.uk/website/pages/CentralLibrary.aspx

The Human library gives people the chance to hear real-life accounts from refugees.

Everyone has a story to tell. And the Human Library gives us all the chance to hear the real-life accounts that we may not usually get the opportunity to hear.

A massive success everywhere from Denmark to Australia, the Human Library is a unique mobile library experience. Instead of loaning your favourite bestseller, you get to have a natter to ‘people on loan’, or ‘living books’, from all walks of life.

The ‘human books’ on loan at this Bolton event will include members of Bolton’s refugee community as well as those working to support them.

Please pop by and loan one of the Refugee Action staff that will be sharing their stories on the day. And remember not to judge a book by their cover!
