Imperial War Museum North kicks off Refugee Week on 12 June with family-friendly story sessions followed by a themed craft activity (repeated on 19 June). Refugee Action staff will be on hand to chat and tell you more about how your family can get involved in Refugee Week and the Simple Acts campaign.
On 13 and 20 June, you can pop into the Learning Studio to say hello to Refugee Action and do one of Refugee Week’s Simple Acts by testing your knowledge with our quiz, making a banner of support for refugees, or watching a film about refugees.
Imperial War Museum North’s Take A Closer Look tour on 15 and 17 June offers the chance to explore the UK’s history of offering sanctuary to people fleeing war and persecution through a 20-minute walk and talk around the main exhibition space. Team Refugee Action will also be there to talk to you about contemporary refugee arrivals and our work in the North-West.
No prior booking is needed and the museum is free to all.
For more information contact Imperial War Museum North on 0161 836 4000 or Refugee Action on 0161 8315488.
These events are brought to you by Imperial War Museum North, in collaboration with Refugee Action.
