Introduction

Are you an asylum seeker seeking advice or information?

how we can help

Since April 2000, Refugee Action’s Asylum Advice teams have provided a reception service for newly arrived asylum seekers, as well as an independent advice and advocacy service.

Our service is for asylum seekers supported by the National Asylum Support Service (NASS) as well as successful asylum applicants who need help in accessing mainstream services and accommodation.

Our advice work covers a range of specialist topics including access to NASS support, the asylum application process, welfare benefits, employment and housing. We also advise clients facing problems such as racial harassment, domestic violence and destitution. Refugee Action provided high quality asylum advice in more than 29,000 casework sessions last year.

Choices

Choices is a confidential service offering information, advice and support to asylum seekers and refugees who are considering voluntary return. Choices is run from offices in London, Manchester, Leeds and Leicester. The project is run in partnership with the International Organisation for Migration. Our Choices team also produces multi-lingual information leaflets and reports.
