Salford Migrant's Project

This project delivers an intensive programme of cross-cutting and interlinked activities in Salford to build more responsive services and more integrated migrant communities that are better equipped to access services appropriately.

Aim

The project aims to increase contact and understanding between existing and emerging communities in Salford. It also builds relationships at neighbourhood level to secure sustainable improvements in community engagement, integration and cohesion.

Activities

• User led activity based projects bringing together and involving host communities and new communities
  Awareness raising sessions and activities to promote hate crime awareness and improve reporting and victim support
• Awareness raising activities to promote cross cultural understanding and challenge stereotypes
  
• Awareness raising sessions for frontline staff
