How you can help destitute asylum seekers

Destitute man in phonebox

Thousands of refused asylum seekers are relying on our support to help them cope with the extreme hardship that they are going through.

We are making a difference to their lives by:
  • providing advice and support to destitute clients and advising them on other support options that may be available
  • giving small cash handouts from our limited resources to the most vulnerable clients, so that they can buy essentials like food and toiletries
  • having helped to set up drop-in centres where destitute asylum seekers can receive food and clothing
  • having helped develop a network of small voluntary groups and faith groups who provide food and shelter
  • having carried out extensive research about the plight of destitute asylum seekers
  • lobbying the government to end destitution of one of the most vulnerable groups in the UK. Take part in our latest campaign action.
  • working with the Still Human, Still Here coalition, campaigning to end the policy of enforced destitution for refused asylum seekers.
