Around the world, armed conflicts and brutal persecution of individuals or groups continue to claim innocent lives and cause misery to men, women and children. A few manage to flee to a safe country, like the UK, where they can receive protection and be given a chance to start a new life in safety.
Refugee Action wants to ensure that in the years to come, we can continue to advise and support people who flee to this country, helping them through the most difficult period in their lives.
Leaving a gift in your will would enable us to carry on this vital work. You would be joining other people who have demonstrated their commitment to the rights of refugees to receive protection and live in safety.
People like Valerie Lane, a retired social worker and teacher from Wales:
Every day I feel how fortunate we are to live in this country. Even if we are poor, our lives are so easy compared to someone living in oppression.
I feel ashamed when I see the injustice of how refugees and asylum seekers are treated here.
Dedicated organisations like Refugee Action can change this and I want to do my best to make sure that they are able to do so.
