Make a donation

With your support we can ensure that refugees and asylum seekers receive crucial help and practical advice as soon as they arrive in the UK. Together we can enhance opportunities for refugees and asylum seekers, giving them more knowledge of the UK, more choice and more independence.

Your support can help by:

Reducing isolation and building women's self-esteem through our Wellbeing Project.

Providing vital support to destitute asylum seekers and helping us lobby for change through our destitution campaign.

Funding workshops for young, unaccompanied asylum seekers at our Get Connected Project.

What your donation can do:
  • £25 can help provide face-to-face advice to help vulnerable refugee women understand their rights and entitlements.
  • £50 can help pay for a couple of nights' shelter for a particularly vulnerable asylum seeker e.g. someone pregnant or disabled, who is not allowed to work and has no means of support.
  • £100 could pay for young refugees in the UK on their own, to participate in classes to improve their life skills like learning to cook, managing money and understanding personal safety.

Payroll giving

Payroll giving is a tax efficient way of giving directly from your salary. For a higher rate taxpayer, a £10 donation costs just £6 and for a standard rate taxpayer the same donation costs £8. Contact your employer directly to donate from your payroll.

Gift Aid

When you make a donation to Refugee Action you will be asked to make a gift aid declaration as it increases the value of your donation by almost a third at no extra cost to you. If you pay income tax or capital gains tax in the UK we can claim back the tax on your gift, currently 25p for every pound you give. Making a £10 gift worth £12.50.
