How we can work together

There are many ways to partner with Refugee Action, whether that’s through strategic partnerships, commercial initiatives, sponsorship or Charity of the Year relationships.

If you would like to collaborate with Refugee Action through a strategic or commercial partnership, aligning your CSR and organisational objectives with our mission then we would love to have a conversation about what this could look like. Through your funding, time and expertise we can continue to develop and expand our services, helping to achieve our mission to keep refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK safe. We will show you the real impact of your involvement and stories of the change you have helped to create.

If you’re an employee looking for ways your colleagues can support Refugee Action whilst at work:

Donate to Refugee Action via Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a way to donate directly from your salary each month before Income Tax is deducted.

You can donate through Payroll Giving if you are an employee paid weekly or monthly through PAYE, or if you receive a company and/or personal pension and your provider deducts through PAYE. There are no extra tax forms to fill in – just ask your payroll team to set up payroll giving to Refugee Action.

If your employer or pension provider doesn’t run a Payroll Giving scheme, they can find out more about it from the Gov.uk website or they can contact our Payroll Giving team.

Raise money by taking part in a fundraising challenge.

Taking part in a fundraising challenge is a great way to strengthen your workplace team and raise money for Refugee Action. Sign up to take part in one of our fundraising events or organise your own fundraiser.

From running to baking, every pound you and your colleagues raise helps us reach more vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers in the UK who need our help.

Make Refugee Action your organisation’s official charity

If your organisation has an official charity programme, why not suggest that they support Refugee Action? Contact our Supporter Care team to find out more about partnering with us.

Spotlight on our partners

“The Co-op Foundation has awarded our largest single grant to date to respond swiftly to this humanitarian crisis while also helping to fund work that will support longer-term positive change for the wider refugee and asylum system.

I know many of our people want to do something, so I would urge them to donate to Refugee Action or any other charities working in this sector. We know we are at our strongest when we all co-operate.”

Nick Crofts, Chief Executive of the Co-op Foundation

Phil Davey, Vice President and Country Manager, Alnylam UK & Ireland, said: “Members of our UK team were directly involved in the selection of our first-ever charity partner, and we are proud to be partnering with Refugee Action to help address a significant social need in the UK. We will be supporting the expansion and delivery of Refugee Action’s Pathway to Work Programme with a three-year donation and our employees are supporting refugees through mentoring and other volunteering opportunities.”

“In 2015 we established a pro bono relationship with Refugee Action, a charity that supports refugees and asylum seekers. Our lawyers, who have been upskilled in areas of asylum law, have provided both legal and operational assistance to support Refugee Action to continue helping its clients. Through our partnership over the past eight years, we have been proud to support Refugee Action in its support of the some of the most vulnerable individuals in our society.”
