One of the families Refugee Action supports has suffered a violent attack. We’re absolutely appalled by this horrendous attack and we’re working with the family and other services to give them support and protection at what is obviously a very difficult time.

Stephen Hale, chief executive of Refugee Action, says:

“We’re utterly appalled by this attack on a family who have come to Britain for protection after fleeing conflict in Syria.

“Our resettlement workers are supporting the family, who are shaken but thankfully all safe. We’re heartened to hear that the local community is stepping in to collect donations for the family to help them at this difficult time.
