Activism pack: ask your MP to Let Refugees Learn

Refugees and asylum seekers who have fled to the UK want to rebuild their lives in peace. But, although they have reached safety, many of them can’t begin their new lives – working, studying, contributing to their community – because they can’t speak the language.

There are a few simple changes that the government could make that would give refugees and asylum seekers the access they want and need to English language teaching.

Refugee Action has teamed up with City of Sanctuary and Unison to ask our MPs to Let Refugees Learn. We’re asking you to get in touch with your MP – go and see them, invite them to an event, email or write – and outline why refugees should be given access to English language teaching.
