Get your school involved

Bring our work to life in your classroom
We’ve been standing up for refugees since 1981. We’ve been around for a long time, yet we’ve never seen the situation as bad as it for refugees today in the UK. But we continue to fight for people seeking safety, and by joining us your school can be a part of making the UK a safe and welcoming place for refugees.
We’ve put together some resources below to help you teach your pupils about the global refugee crisis. Use our PowerPoint assembly presentations to introduce our work to your school, bring our work to life through our videos, and use our Classroom Pack for activities, campaigning actions and suggested class reading lists.
Raise money for refugees
Every penny your school raises will fund our work, meaning that we can continue to be there for refugees and people seeking asylum in the UK. Our friendly team are here to support you, and provide you with fundraising materials. Here are our best fundraising ideas to get you started, and you can find loads more ideas in our Fundraising Guide.
Dress down day. Host a non-uniform day and ask each pupil to donate to take part.
Get selling! Organise a bake sale, make and sell crafts, or sell the old books you no longer need in your library.
Race for refugees. Organise a sponsored walk, run or school sports day to reflect the long journeys people must make to find safety.
