In July 2017, Refugee Action published its report Slipping through the Cracks that highlighted problems in the asylum support system. These problems include bad decision-making by the Home Office and long delays in accessing essential support. As a result, some of the most vulnerable asylum seekers can be left unable to meet their living needs and may be pushed into homelessness.
