
Catherine Lebadou
Catherine is the founder of Jewels in Africa, an organisation that supports the education of girls and teenage mothers in marginalised communities through mentorship programmes, the provision of sanitary products and other support. She has completed several courses on Social Entrepreneurship and is currently studying Effective Engagement of Civil Society in Development in her efforts to become an effective social change agent/activist. Catherine continues to be an activist here in the UK, using her experiences in the UK asylum system to campaign for change. She is a member of the RAS Voice Group and the Chair of Refugee Action's National Steering Group. She is also a storyteller with MDF Fund and a volunteer with other organisations.
