Rachel is Refugee Action’s Head of Asylum Services. Rachel has worked in the refugee sector for more than 10 years. She started her career at Refugee Action as a caseworker supporting vulnerable migrants and refused asylum seekers who were either contemplating their return to their country of origin or who had returned. Rachel then went on to work on a legal casework partnership project before becoming a regional services manager in Bradford.

Before this, Rachel worked at Citizens Advice Bureau as an IAAS and OISC caseworker and supervisor representing asylum cases and family immigration cases. Rachel was also Volunteer Director of Refugees and Mentors CIC, a refugee employability organisation in Greater Manchester from 2019 – 2022.
