Sahar Khan

Sahar, a master’s graduate in peacebuilding and conflict resolution, has multitudes of experience working with people seeking asylum and refugees. She was part of the BRAVE (Bradford Refugee and Asylum Voices Equality) group, working to influence Refugee Action and the wider refugee sector to improve services for people living in Bradford.

She supported people seeking asylum in hotels by organising essentials. As an EBE, she understood first-hand the needs of people living in hotels, creating social spaces for activities, boosting their confidence, and integrating them into society. For Refugee Week, Sahar facilitated workshops to create the refugee week art exhibition, showcasing the creativity and artistry of refugees.

As a refugee herself, Sahar is driven to support people in the asylum system, is currently training to be a counsellor and is pursuing her diploma.
