Welcome to the UK! I hope you will feel made welcome here by the people in your community, and that you will be able to have a better life here. I am so sorry for all the things you must have been through in your own country. It must be unimaginably awful to experience all the terrible things you’ve had to go through. I am so, so sorry on behalf of this country for the lack of compassion, welcome and kindness you may have felt. But trust me, there are so many people who want to make you feel at home here. I pray that you will one day have a life like you had when you were happy in your home country. I hope that the UK will become a home for you, even if it cannot ever be like the place you have come from. Remember, there is a God who loves and values you just as you are.
