Welcome to Shropshire, a beautiful county where there are many good people who will befriend you. At first it will be strange, and you will long for your own country. But there are people here who will understand, and some who have also been refugees from war and persecution in earlier generations. You and your family will need help with the language; but the most important language is the language of friendship, and I hope and pray that you will hear it spoken here, and find many opportunities to practise it. You have much to contribute, and we have a lot to learn and receive from you. I hope that we may meet one day soon. God bless you, and may you feel safe and welcome.
